UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR CONVERTIBLE PEN WINDOWS DRIVERS (1/11/93)

The attached files are the updated drivers for the Windows for
Pen implementation on the GRiD 2260 Convertible.

To update your Convertible:

1) Copy all .CPL files to the \WINDOWS directory
2) Copy the GRID.TXT file to the \WINDOWS directory
3) Copy all .DRV and .386 files to the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
4) Edit your CONTROL.INI file:

	Under the [MMCPL] section, add the following line
	cpgray=C:\WINDOWS\CPGRAY.CPL

	Add one to the NumApps value
	(e.g. NumApps=18 becomes NumApps=19)

The following files have been modified since the 9/21/92 release:

* GRIDPM.CPL, the GRiD 2260 Power Management Control Applet

	- updated icon
	- fixed bugs related to user interface of backlite timeout

* CPCAL.CPL (2260 Version), the GRiD 2260 Calibration Applet

	- fixed memory allocation error that would cause a divide
	  by zero error when run with Slate's DayTimer application

* CPROT.CPL (2260 Version), the GRiD 2260 Rotation Applet

	- disallowed rotation when using the VGAGRAYP video driver

* CPGRAY.CPL (2260 Only), new GRiD 2260 Gray Scale Applet

	- added new control panel applet to allow the dynamic switch
	  from the standard video driver and the new 16 gray-scale
	  driver.

* GRID.DRV (2260 Only), the GRiD 2260 Pen Driver

	- fixed various bugs related to setting the rate and
	  threshold
	- improved driver performance
	- improved filter performance

* GRID.386 (2260 Only), the GRiD 2260 Virtual Pen Driver

	- improved task switching when DOS box is active (related
	  to Windows for Workgroups)

* VGAGRAYP.DRV (2260 Only), new GRiD 2260 VGA GrayScale video driver

	- added new pen-aware VGA video driver supporting 16 gray
	  shades and inking

* GRID.TXT, the GRiD Readme file

	- added section on the new gray-scale video driver
